Tour Hassan in Rabat.  Read on to see photos of the real thing.  (By the way, this is how I will set up my posts, with a drawing, then photos or more details in the 'read more' link. 



The minaret tower and columns are what remains of a huge mosque built around 1200.  The tower, originally 3 times it's current height, was destroyed by an earthquake in 1755.
Behind me is the mausoleum of Mohammed V and King Hassan II, the current kings granfather and father.
