A Drawing a Day

Home sweet home.  A view of my parent's house.

Spending a year in Italy, India, and Bali (Eat, Pray, Love), cooking each and every recipe from Julia Child's 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' (Julie & Julia), owning less than one-hundred possessions (writer, Tammy Strobel), reading a book a day (Nina Sankovich) -  A lot of writers these days seem to be creating a formula, sticking to it and suffering through it, then making it the basis of a book, or blog.

Regardless of what this says about our culture, I've been mulling over the idea of completing 'One Drawing Per Day' while I am on my Fulbright.  Not only would it give this blog some direction, it would force me to draw more and think about what I'm looking at longer than if I were to rely on photographs.

So my challenge is officially public.  What I will commit to at this point is a drawing per day throughout the duration of my Arabic language classes (3 months).  Look for them in batches since I doubt I will be able to post each day.
